I was wondering what is the maximum safe power i can get from the 225 engine? Im led to believe that an exhaust, intake and map will take it to around 260ish. What if i looked an upgraded turbo, intercooler & Injectors. Id obviously look at an uprated clutch and LSD.
My 225 ran 320bhp & 355ftlb on oem internals. It's not the bhp it's the torque that kills the engine. Rs tuning now limit their maps to 300ftlb. Lee
Thanks for that, thats very impressive, did you have any issues with that power & torque? Was looking at the K-Tec & Engine Dynamics Stage 1 Hybrid...i think these are good for 320? What would be involved in fitting, turbo, intercooler, injectors, actuator...just "bolt on" then service and map. I was out in a mk1 focus RS with close on 400hp on the stock engine and it was pretty interesting...just wondering what i could get the megane to.
