Thats fine mate. Book me in please. I can leave the car with you as long as you need it. Don't use it much nowadays. Besides, my car likes being in your garage and you can remove your boot mark from the drivers door lol
Brilliant job, the wifes Abarth 500 really needs a detail like this to get it looking like new again.
Fab job again, and i to had to do a double take on the clocks. Where is me new Leon on the running order/list Ed, new year?? lol.
Great work there Ed .. Taking it to another level there How do you find the Rupes polishers ? Is that the Duetto and mini you have ? Allways used a Rotary myself but these long throw DA's seem to be how allot of people are going now
Ed uses one very much like mine, only mine says Bosch on it , dual purpose one we use it for cutting out chases in brick work
Thanks for all the comments With regards to the da's John I have been impressed with the newer style da's for some time now. The finish from the rupes range is very impressive, you can get alot of cut but finish out to pefection they really can save alot of time. Got the Duetto, mini and 21 from Rupes John, the flex 3401 is a heavy hitter though and is brilliant with the right pads and polish. Can you post a pic of your bosch in use Steve, preferably on the car
I need some more of that spray on fly remover stuff, can't remem what it was called though, spray on and leave for a bit
detailing looks great, that is the level i want to get 'dot' too but i am still very amateurish compared to you
Amazing work as always mate. Didnt realise you had switched to flex and rupes machine polishers, as you seemed to be a big fan of the noisy 3m. You must be able to strip and rebuild these cars in your sleep now. Lol
Thanks mate, yeah only for certain jobs etc still use the 3m but tends to be on german paint etc it's noisy but very light.
All the locals who've had their car Ed'ed should meet up for a group photoshoot in the new year...but after all the shit weather!
Find it far more effective than snow foam and you can actually see it rinsing the dirt off, I find snow foam a gimmick and only use it to dwell on the car before washing it, so snow foam it,then leave the foam on there and wash the car, this is only on cars I know have soft paint.
Without sounding completely stupid. i take it you let the citrus work in then jet it off without agitating it. then shampoo. and rinse.
Yes spray on leave it to dwell for a couple of minutes then rinse and then your normal shampoo method. I use it as a dedicated pre wash so spray on rinse off.
It may trigger a big debate but is citrus a more effective pre wash method compared to snow foam. I use the latter but want to see how it compares before ordering another gallon of foam.
I have tried both out on one car and found the citrus pre wash to be far more effective, it actually bites in and and gets the dirt whereas snow foam was just running off the car and taking anything light away with it. Everyone I put onto the citrus always comes back saying they wish they had never bothered with snow foam.
yeah Ive never thought snow foam lifted much of the grime, certainly no more than removed from the pressure washer itself.
Exactly my findings,it's just the fact something is running off the surface, which a pressure washer or even hose will do. Try the Citrus as a pre wash.
I've just seen valet pro citrus wash for roughly the same cost as BH auto foam, it reckons It won't strip waxes and I can use my foam lance (which is nice, thought that would go to waste) so I'll give it a shot
