A lot of people always forget to mention gear ratios when tuning cars. The 275r is set up for the higher bhp and torque the r26r isn't set up for that 40-50 bhp extra.

Says me. You don't have a skilled driver, the two cars or the track to yourself - so it's never going to be answered. So everyone's answers are just pure speculation, opinion and whichever car they favour.
With ASTs as well as a map and pfc brakes I think it would be fairly close. Being able to fine tune the suspension for the ring surly makes a big difference and is probably what gave the trophy r the edge over the leon and the 265.
There's a couple of mirrored videos on YouTube with the 265 trophy and the R26R there's parts where you can clearly see which car is stronger at certain parts of the ring. Its tough one to call but I think the 275.R would just pip it, especially given the conditions it set its lap.
People forget 275.r time had loads of areas to improve too, more like a banker if honda manage to pip it they could re take with a proper lap 275.r would win, those fancy ohlins and epoxy resin isnt just marketing gumpf!
