I've seen that 100 limit on a few web sites, as you may have, but I don't think that's the case. I ask the salesman directly about it too and he had heard nothing of the sort. It could be that the 100 limit is for the Oz market only though.
Also some extra info from Renault Renaultsport 265 and Renaultsport 275 Trophy will also be fitted with R-Link v2 and Western European mapping but will as well feature electrochrome rear view mirror, illuminating sunvisors and rear parking camera with rear parking sensors. In addition to this, some colours will stop from week 50 (Azzuro Blue , Eclipse and Oyster Grey), this will be compensated by the introduction of new colours from mid-January 2015 (Titanium and Cosmos Blue) and later in 2015 (Red Flame).
yeah I hope so. Il still have a test drive of the one in Wakefield but sod that if there similar/cheaper brand spanking new

Have a look on here the one in the pics is a friend's and its a stunner ! http://www.renaultsportclub.co.uk/forum/general-forums/car-blogs/8768-my-275-trophy
Hi Phil Yep I've ordered one yes  and since BLG when into administration 4 months ago I've opened up my own business (Body shop) How's your meg doing ?
Yeah doing good didnt even know they did still get emails from them about new cars nice one mate hows business ;did read your in doncaster right you trading in your 250 or selling privately i was toying with getting the new 135i but quite like the 275
I've set up in Goole, I did work in Doncaster for 3 months while I got sorted with a unit and spray booth and stuff !
Can't access this, needs loggin? I'm not entirely sure these colours refer to the sport versions. Renaults information is typically all over the place. It would seem the Oyster Grey has already been dropped. The Malta blue colour they did looks great but again, it's not available on the RS models

Apart from the hideous carbon fibre look (faux)leather the interior looks lovely, Alcantara always makes a cabin feel a bit more special.
No one will spend 30k on one anyway, even those that own them. Lets face it, say what, 95% of these will be financed in some way or another then P/X'd or sold. I have seen that most deals on the 275 Trophy's had a 10k final payment or similar.
It is even worse. Even with low APR interests for that sort of money can be quite high. How will be with holding value, we all know. For £30k Golf R, S3 or STI seem to be better option in terms of resale value.
Oh yeah i wonder if they will hold their value better than the 250/265's. I also wouldn't spend 30k on a Megane regardless how it was getting paid, Golf R would of got my money of those mega lease deals where still going and you didn't have to wait til March to get one built! Gonna be a lot of cheap 7R's in a year or two when all these deals are up
why is the 275 getting an extra dose of bitterness than the 250s and 265s? a 265 with half decent spec will set you back 28k so the extra 2k is neither here nor there, and as for the golf r debate yawn i see lots of people saying thats where their money would go but those same people are still here owning a megane.... plus who buys a car outright anyway? or a house? etc its the way of the world
Because so far, Megane RS looses value rapidly, so most people with avarage job can afford to buy 2-3 years old car for half price of the new one. It may be that mysterious factor :-) For me Megane is good to buy as used car. Having twice more bigger budget I would be looking for something new and holding value bit better.
but if it wasn't for the people buying new ones then there wouldn't be any second hand ones for you to buy....... And jamie it's pretty much all you post about, change the record
Buy mine out right , never had finance or a loan, never owned a credit card either, can't see paying interest on something and end up paying more, that's just me though
Everyone would do that if they could, but realistically saving £15-£20k+ then spending it on a car isn't ever going to happen for 99% of people. Without finance/loans there would be no new car market.
Exactly this. If you spec up a 265 with the same options the 275 comes with, including the exhaust, then the price is very similar. The Golf R/M135i comparisons are futile IMO as they are a lot more expensive unless your talking about the very bottom spec cars. Pick a few nice options similar to how the Trophy comes standard and they are a lot more. They you're into the argument that your too close to 'proper' cars like the Caymen and no way would I spend 35k on a boring looking German hatchback. It's all a pointless argument as you rightly say, and until you actually seriously consider spending your own money on a new car, the arguments aren't really valid. Just pointless keyboard warriors trying to justify their purchase as if that's the only possible option that would make sense to everybody.
at mate Fully understand that mate , but for me I'd rather go without and have something cheaper, maybe just the way I've been bought up, if I've not got the money I'll go without.
Have you seen what a base spec M135i comes equipped with? More than enough toys for a "base" spec car, Maybe its just me but i have never been one for having loads of options, I buy my cars to drive and for their performance, Not because it has 200 speakers or satnav. Anyway, Just to set the record straight, I'm not bitter at all towards the 275, as far i can remember i have never said i am or anything to that effect, People get far to wound up trying to defend THEIR purchase to others. Yes i will fully admit that i would never, ever consider dropping that much money on what is still a FWD shopping car. Horses for courses i guess. As for justifying purchases, LOL.
7R and STI also got decent equipment as standard, including LED / xenon headlights. For me, just add leather, sunroof (and sat nav to Subaru) and it will be perfect.
I don't believe in reviews until I test drive one. Going that way all Mégane RS should be Cup ;-) I was passanger on previous one and I don't believe newest version is worse.
It has. Not moved on dynamically for the last decade has been the overwhelming summary. Very poor interior quality too. The Golf R, I'm sorry, if you spec it up to include what I consider the nice, almost essential options to have (which the Trophy makes standard from the 265), the price is £36817, compared to £29600 for the Megane.
Great line by what car, you will enjoy this part: 'Should I buy one? Not unless you regularly drive on loose-surface, empty rally-stage type roads, which makes this the exclusive plaything of a handful of lucky people - or anyone who lives deep in the rural countryside. For the rest of the UK’s enthusiast audience, the Subaru doesn’t come close to offering the level of entertainment and usability that its rivals deliver, and we include cheaper, front-drive hot hatches such as the Renaultsport Megane and Seat Cupra in that, let alone its obvious four-wheel-drive peers.'
