Hi all, Purchased a 57 R26 a few weeks back and loving every minute, well almost. I had a Viezu remap a couple of weeks ago. All was going well and the power felt superb, until the car went into limp home mode while on boost, I had check esp and check injection error messages. Had it plugged in and there was an injection error code showing. The car didn't sound quite right when idling so I changed the plugs and put a new set of OEM coils on. For a week this seemed to have cured the problem until it happened again. Took the car back to where it was mapped, they wrote a new map running less boost. Again for a week all was fine until today. Had raced a carrera early this morning with pleasing results and no issues but when overtaking in 4th at about 50 we had the limp home mode again. I'm wondering whether it's worth changing the injectors to eliminate the possibility, but my question is, is it worth upgraded injectors at £260 as opposed to standards which I am led to believe will not operate above 280bhp. While I am running at close to 270bhp I can't help but think that maybe the stock injection is being pushed a little too hard? Any thoughts, more than welcome. Thanks
Stock injectors are fine for 270bhp. As above though it's worth fitting a cleaned set before mapping as they're a common fault.
injectors are more commonly the fault here, plugs and coils less so. tbh I'd be taking the car to rstuning but that's another debate.
Yeah pretty much that's what I was told with their consent. In all honesty viezu have a good reputation.
Have they, the last megane i heard that had viezu map was also playing up, and it was dodgey map according to the owner.
No , no they dont. Viezu are ChippedUK rebranded. Look around for Jay @ ChippedUK . Frightening reports.
Had a chat with RS, they recommended a set of 630cc injectors. Will get them put on on Wednesday night and see if things improve
You cant just stick in a set of 630s and hope . If the map hasnt been done for that set of injectors you are going to be up shit creek without a paddle.
Just get it to RS Tuning and let them sort it, drive in dfive out, other wise you'll be pissing about like this for weeks
Gotta agree with Andy and Steve here, get it to RS Tuning and get them to put a proper map on it then you'll have a known base level to work from. Mapping 630s is something only Paul @ RST is good at
as above really... sticking in a set of 630's is not going to resolve the problem, need to get it mapped by someone in the know, e.g. Paul @ RST
I'm just going with advice from the guy at RS, so now have mixed messages. I understand that I need to get a live map sorted at some point for the bigger injectors. Could doing this now cause any damage while running the existing map? Or just not have the car running at full potential?
You cannot fuel correctly if you smash in injectors that are too large. You will have no idea when your tank is empty . Seriously mate get it to RS tuning. I have had the work done there. With my own cash. Do it once , do it right.
I know I need to get it up to RS to be mapped properly. Just can't afford it until after Christmas. Why, oh why. Did I rush into a remap without a load of research? Prat!
http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22809 http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=346353 ChippedUK have a poor rep no matter what brand.
if you've been having issues since I'd be going back and getting a refund and the car back to standard.
Viezu have just replied and confirmed the 30 day money back guarantee. Going to to get the map removed and then book in with RS when I have the funds. Thanks all!
