  1. read your blog on corsa sport. Lot more detailed than on here.

  2. My first car was a corsa so ive pretty much stayed on there for 7 years. They have another group called Weekend Racer which is pretty good for shows etc

  3. Mine too mate. Corsa b 1.2 merit 8v. Epic machine that was.

These just arrived in the post so I shall fit these right now

  8. Heat proofing stuff arrived for the carbon bonnet and fixed the Dodgey boot lock mechanism.

Sprayed with GT85 dried and then sealed with flexible butyl rubber gutter sealant. Works a charm.

  9. Took the megane badge off the boot, fitted pressed plates and gave the car it's last decontamination and wax of this year

  10. Took it for it's mot and passed without any advisories phew!

  11. I keep ripping the splitter off my R26 - there's a massive speed bump going into the grounds of my flat and I've caught it on there a few times and now the plastic moulding is smashed so the first part of this mod was to trim away all the broken moulding with my trusty Dremel. Next thing is to order and fit a different splitter.

    Now the choices are
    1 SEAT Cuppra splitter
2 Skoda Fabia splitter. I know this is too short so I'm going to buy 2, and then cut and expand it, then wrap in carbon fibre wrap so it looks like a single piece.

So basically today I trimmed the plastic moulding off the bumper that holds on the splitter.

  12. Had a new radiator and gearbox seal fitted by Mark Black. He also investigated why the car was losing power and missing, and it turns out the cat is falling to bits at 46k miles! He also said it's definitely mapped as it shifts, I've spoken to a previous owner and it is indeed mapped, but it looks like the map has killed the cat.

So next course of action is a decat fitted by Mark, then a trip to RS tuning to get the map checked and make sure it isn't going to kill my car.

  13. Reduced the sale price to £13500.

  14. Fitted cooksport springs yesterday. Fairly easy - front and back done in 3 hours. Got tracking done - has transformed the handling

    Oooooo... What you done?!

  17. Seat Leon Cupra?

  18. Replaced front discs.

As usual spent ages hitting things with hammers and required a good 10-15 minutes with a 2kw heater on one of them to get the disc hot and it eventually popped off.
Went to do the other side expecting a fight, got the retaining screws out and the disc fell off without a touch.

Hour and a half to do the first one, 40 minutes to do the second.... I don't rush anyway but I did think it was starting to take the mick after my 2lb lump failed. Heat and a touch of wd40 got it off so that's it for another 20-30k miles.

oh and I got some extra pictures that in combination with the guide from the 200 I did might let me make a how to guide.

  19. I tried the same today, 12mm hex key has gone walkies though :/ fail.

Fitted heat heat proofing to the wrong side of my bonnet - got distracted and put my template down back to front so when I cut it out it only fit over the intake side not the turbo. FAIL.

Not had had a good day.

  20. gutted!

    Fitted some seat stickers!

  21. Booked the meg in for a mid box chop on the 15th at Basingstoke long life.

  22. Tell me about it. I've stuck it on regardless I'll just order more so the whole bonnet is done.

Gonna give Fred a ring to fit my cook sports after today I know more will go wrong. I can see me popping the driveshaft out and oil everywhere.

  23. Let me know what its like in sport mode!

  24. Will do Matty! The drive onwards to Ed for a detail should be amusing

  25. More successful morning today, purchased a new 12mm hex key -£8 :-/ and cracked on with the new discs.

  26. Jeez i think i have two whole sets from small to stupidly big I got from screwfix for less.

  27. Just ordered some gold Speedline Turini's

    Had it serviced today.

    Cambelt.
    Waterpump.
    Aux belt.
    Spark Plugs.
    Oil change.
    Coolant flush.
    Cabin filter.

And finally, something that has changed my life. The upper engine mount was changed. Such a difference it's made. I didn't know if the engine was on when I first got in it as it was so smooth. And the interior no longer rattles! It's the little things that make such a big difference.

  29. Picked it up from Mark Black, had a new radiator, gearbox seal, forge recirc valve and decat fitted. Now got it booked in for a wheel refurb and powder coating black in 2 weeks time  I'm also going to get it to RS tuning to check the mapping now it's been decatted.

    Normal day for me lol

    How's it drive now?

  34. Ordered a new set of AST fully adjustable coilovers

  35. Couldnt resist eh Steve?

  36. Yeah the 1st set ever made were the set on my my R26.R, they were the prototype kit and never seemed to adjust correctly, things have moved on and these should do the job, they will be softer than standard when o full soft then wack em up for track

  37. Also got them for a very very good price

  38. I reckon you were right about the bits of cat in the exhaust. It had a slight misfire once on the way home, but I've done 25 miles now, given it some beans uphill a few times and it's run perfectly. Before it would definitely have started limping and misfiring when I did that. It's a bit early to say 100% but it looks promising.

Also found out that my Mrs put a tank of Asda fuel in it the other week, doubt it's related but I normally run V Power. It was nearly empty so I've filled up with V Power again this morning.
