Hello all, thought its about time i made a progress thread on one of these forums! After owning a saxo for a couple of years and my best mates cars getting quicker i decided it was time for something new! After initally wanting an Astra VXR my mates pushed me in the direction of the Meganes! I managed to pick up a 225 F1 Edition for a very good price. After getting used to the car, the mods started! First was LED numberplate lights & HID's. Followed by a good clean! I was then on the hunt for an exhaust system. A custom made 3" Cat back exhaust (no back box or silencers) turned up on Ebay so i snapped it up! And the following weekend i got it fitted Since owning the car, the bumpers had always let it down. I decided to get both front and rear bumpers re-sprayed. On removal of the front bumper i found a dirty forge intercooler! Was chuffed as it saves me spending £400 on one! Fitted the bumpers back & got my mate round to detail the car!
Decided to remove the restrictive standard airbox and replace it with an ITG filter The car came with a yellow intake hose so i decided just to bodge to filter to fit for now! Went to Santa Pod for Ulimate Street Car a couple of weeks ago with a few mates (440bhp RS, 300bhp R32, 220bhp Corsa, 440bhp RS4) I didnt run my car, as it needs a good map! On returning from USC i bought 630cc injectors & new boost hoses And got the hose's fitted, added a 90deg bend to lower the ITG filter.
Next on the list was a decat. This popped up on Ebay, the size wasnt listed but i decided to buy it anyway. On delivery i checked the size and it turned out to be 3" I then paid a visit to Mark Black to get it fitted. Thanks again Mark!! Next on the list is forge hard boost pipes and a stage 2 map
Removed my gear linkage & sent it off to Andrew Jeff's for the quickshift mod Made such a difference, very happy with it.
