Been looking on here for a few days now, seeing if I can found some help on the annoying issue if the keyless entry not working on my 225... It talks about the battery needs replacing in a few posts here, I've stuck a decent battery in & still it shows up card not detected when you try to hit the start button without card inserted, which means I'm now having to insert the card into the slot... Also I can't get into the car without unlocking with the button also.... Any ideas of what causes this & how it can be rectified? The mrs is not happy now Cheers
Put the card in ignition start car, turn car off ,step out of car and shut door and walk away and you should hear it lock itself.
If you lock with card, then you need to unlock with card. Try to use button on a door handle, you should be able to unlock without using card button. That how it was working on my Scenic mk2.
It use to work, it's stopped working. Hence me asking if anybody on here knows what may have caused it.. Thanks
Not strictly true that, even though I have read it many many times. I lock with my card everytime i get out of the car due to the buttons on the handles being knackered. I have never had to unlock with the card yet, keyless entry always works. It works whether I lock with the card button or lock with the button on the boot.
Weird. I am sure it is as I wrote before. Once you will use card button to lock the car, keyless entry is switched off until you will start engine.
Yeh, thought my 250 was broken after just picking it up, when it wouldnt auto unlock, it was because i locked it with the keycard
