  1. Passenger dipped bulb went on me this evening so looking into replacing the dipped bulbs. Not sure what's bulbs are in it at the moment, they've been in it since I bought the car. What's everyone's preference for halogen bulbs?

Also, how easy is it to replace the bulbs on the 250? Access by taking the wheel and arch liner off?

  2. Piece of piss, two bolts in the top, and pull the bar up top/back and the whole light slides forward

  3. I used osram night breakers last year during the winter and they were superb, think I might swap back to them this winter

I read a thread last week about headligh bulbs which looked good but for the life of me I cant remember what they were called

  4. I found a thread on here about the night breakers, and I was tempted by them, but saw someone mention that they were more cream than white :worried:

  5. Yeah if I can remember right they are a tad creamy but imo a really good set of bulbs, the ones I have the now have a slightly green film on them only left them in because the amount of different bulds I tried I just couldn't be bothered swapping them again haha

  6. Halford own bulbs have a good write up think there buy 1 get one free just now

  8. I have xenons as standard... what bulbs do I get, from Renault I presume?

  9. The super brilliance ones seem to get good reviews, quite tempted by them.

  10. Go to Auto Express online and they test all the bulbs regularly and post results.

Phillips usually top out with Osrams next. I just bought 2 pairs of Osrams H7's Night Breaker Extreme off Amazon with damaged packaging [box cracked] for £9.99 a pair.

There are some new Phillips XtremeVision +130% just out too. which were recommended.

    Cheers Andy

  12. Went for the Osram night breakers in the end since my local euro car parts had them in stock, I'll see how I get on with them. Managed to get them fitted, though it did take me a minute or two to figure out what "bar" had to be pulled up

    Thanks for the suggestions

  13. the bar is actually also a "wrench" for when you need to switch a bulb while on the road ;-)

  14. I had the Phillips blue vision ones in my 200, proper crisp white light. That's what I'll be replacing mine with when the time comes.
