Well it's started again the gremlins have followed me from my clio into Megane Car was running fine dropped my mum off at work and was sat for two min with engine running then it cut out. Tried to start it fired up but then immediately cut off again. Did this a few times then gave up and got a mate to tow me home. Had a look at TDC sensor last night and cleaned up no help what so ever. Doesn't even fire up for a sec now just keeps turning over. Any ideas before I send to garage? Also who do people recommend I'm located at Doncaster so DDC? Gonna put some more fuel in it just in case lol it was showing just above red but never know.
Cleaning the crank sensor won't always help. Naith's failed at le mans, cleaned it up and made zero difference. New sensor and it fired 1st time.
Denaby buddy outskirts Doncaster/Rotherham the land no one dare goes lol. Yeah gonna get it to them tomorrow I'm guessing its fuel related as after it cut out it fired bk up but then died again did this a few times then eventually just cranks over and doesn't even start up. Will see what they say tomorrow hopefully
Yeah I opened another topic as not sure if there is a fuse/relay for pump. Checked all one in engine bay (nightmare to get to them) and ones in passenger side all seem fine.
As far as I'm aware but will double check as am i right in thinking larger injectors if not calibrated would be reason car reads 1/4 tank more etc. Be nice if they are save me some pennies next year lol
those were my thought yes Here in germany u always have to get to the gas station if the car shows about 1/2-3/4 empty running large injectors
No one in germany has worked out how to map them in properly then? Although tbh i think only two people can do it properly, paul at RStuning and Henk at fastchip!
Sure some people Know-how to... but most ppl run the bpc2 here which is just a Box. And if u have your ecu adjusted to the large injectors you have to be careful that it doesn't get overwritten @ Service for example
Just putting it to sticking needle on fuel gauge and will keep an eye on it. Guy who checked fuel pump said he noticed it showed above red then when re checked was empty. Electrical gremlins playing games. All good now so can enjoy my car again
Old thread but had car mapped today and turns out issue I had with fuel gauge could be down to having bigger injectors. So I do have the larger injectors fitted after all
Lol 4 months later, well at least you got more out of the mapping thanks to the injectors then, good read this
