We did our annual Ring trip last weekend, which was fantastic (as always). This was my fastest lap from the weekend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeME0jH0xV4&feature=youtu.be As always, lots of accidents (RSR rentals especially for some reason) and one of our group made contact with the barrier when it was still wet. He came home with a damaged car and a nice Armco bill. Also visited Spa and spoke with another grey R26R owner and saw a few more R26Rs there, which was nice. Will be back to do Spa in April and get more Ring laps in.
Totally gutted as I have yet to get under 9mins. Was hoping for dry laps Monday evening when it was quieter, but was not to be. Will try again next year when I might try a trackday there rather than tourist days. Bill was around 1200 euro.
DN came in for criticism this year. I find it best not to time anymore. Its too busy for going quick now. That said 9 mins is easy in an R26.R
What were the issues, as this was the trackday I was considering? Yes, 9mins should be easy but unfortunately my talent runs out just before I get there.
