  1. Hi

Went to Renault dealer to enquire price on pads front and rear on a meg 250....got told price of pads themselves but was also quoted as needing a 'fixing kit' at £70+....

anyone got any idea wot this fixing kit is for ?

    Ta !

  2. nope no idea, unless they are talking about the 2 pins and clip for the front brakes, which you dont need (unless yours are seized in)

front pads - knock out pins with a punch, swap over, 2 mins.
rears - caliper off (2mins) rewind piston with tool (2 mins) and new pads in.

  3. Cheers. I know dealer would be expensive but wanted a benchmark against someone else who can supply.

    Thanks for the help mate.

  4. always better off gettin the new pads yourself mate, cheaper and there are better than oem pads out there.

  5. Yes I agree. I want to fit some OEM pads to try and solve an issue I think I got with ds2500's I currently have fitted. If the problem goes away them I know it's ds2500's

  6. Renault are right in suggesting you should replace the brake pins but dont pay dealer prices.

Brakeparts.co.uk are good quality and about £7 each side.

  7. get mr pink pins dont have to hammer them out! iv been running EBC Red stuff brake pads and they are fine
