  1. Evening guys

Anyone know a good company for retrimming steering wheels?

  2. Yep snappy off Clio sport is doing my R26.R wheel, I've seen his work and it's 1st class mate

  3. Pm me if you want his number

  4. I've had snappy wheels and royal. Royal did this. uploadfromtaptalk1410905352426.jpg
Snappy wheels are by no means bad, but Royal are better imo.

  5. It will be royal for me too next month.

  6. I'm sure i've read somewhere that Snappy works for Bentley.

    Snappys work is fantastic

  8. Cal

    Cal

How much does this typically cost?

  9. I'm about to get mine done by Royal Steering Wheels, slightly thicker, perforated leather sides, alcantara top/bottom plus yellow centre stripe at 12 o'clock, yellow stitching.

    Cost is £125

  10. That's exactly what I'm after Scoobyr! In fact I've just emailed them this afternoon, is that price for a 250 wheel? Seems an excellent price

  11. That's right mate, doing it on an exchange basis as I can't be with out the car for a week or two while it's done.

Jack, who I'm dealing with tends to take about 24 hours to respond to emails, so don't be put off if he doesn't reply straight away, but all very efficient so far....

  12. Cheers, you tried removing the wheel yet? Wondering how complicated it is with an airbag? Mine will be getting sorned soon for the winter so plan on just sending the wheel off

  13. Daz

    Piece of piss to remove.

  14. Not tried it yet, but I'm thinking I'll do it myself, the video on Royal's website shows taking a BMW steering wheel off and it looks a piece of piss, as Daz says

When you do the exchange, you get 10 days to swap and send back, so if I get into any difficulty, I'll just drop into R-Sport, who I've been going to for years to sort it out for me.

I'll post up pics when it's all sorted

  15. Had email from Jack with same quote, def going ahead with it, waiting till next month when car goes off road for the winter, found a wheel removal blog here

    Looks pretty straight forward

  16. Cheers for that Nick, very helpful

pics to follow when I get it back.

  17. Have you sent yours? When's it due back?

  18. Doing mine on an exchange basis Nick, when I receive the re-trimmed wheel, I have 10 days to swap them over and send the old one to him.

He said 1 to 2 weeks to have it finished.

  19. Magic, look forward to some photies

  20. Get mine back tomorrow hopefully

  21. Look forward to seeing the pics Steve

  22. +1

  23. He's just send me a pic of it nearly finished, posting it in the morning, I bought an R26 steering wheel and had it done a little different, so the cruise buttons will be scrapped then wheel swapped over so I can send my R wheel off and get that done OEM spec 9AEBF593-7143-42EB-B44A-53CB2AE4970E.png

  24. As you can see silver stitching instead of red, red centre band and smooth leather instead of perforated , the one in my car will be done as is and I'll put that one away till it gets sold

  25. Looks bloody lovely that Steve

  26. Indeed, that does look good

Looking forward to getting mine back now!

  27. Cheers, just a few small changes
