Megane F1 replacement discs and pads help...

Discussion in 'Megane Discussion' started by DavidSF1, Sep 8, 2014.

  1. Hi,

After doing some research about my car vibrating heavily under braking I have come to the conclusion that I need new discs and pads for the front.
My car is a F1 and I was wondering does anyone know where would be the best place to get replacements? Best price Iv found so far is £149.99 off eBay for brembo discs and pads.
Does anyone know if the brembos on a F1 are any different to the brembos on a non F1?

    Thanks,

    David

  2. Pretty sure they're the same .... try contacting ads from Wolverhampton Renault on here for a price

  3. Mtec brakes for the discs.

  4. Thanks for the replies. I contacted Mtec through one of their eBay adverts and they said they don't do Megane Sport discs. But Iv just been on their website and they say they do...hmm

  5. Yeah they do. I've got them on mine. They are the same as the Clio 197/200 discs.

  6. How are the MTEC discs? Do you track your Meg?

  7. I've found them fine so far. No I don't do track work but they do get used hard on the road. But before buying them I searched up some reviews online and people had no problems using them on track on various different car forums. Alternative is solid brembo hc discs.

  8. my cars currently got drilled and grooved discs on, anyone know if id be better getting brembo hc discs?

  9. I've just fitted ktec black grooved disks and ferodo ds pads. They were £320 for the back and about £290 for the front and they seem pretty good for what they cost!

  10. So so cheap ! I paid £670 and £140 for my front discs and pads on my B5 RS4 !
Thats why I'm on the hunt for a R26 now

  11. So so cheap ! I paid £670 and £140 for my front discs and pads on my B5 RS4 ! Then add about £100 in labour

  12. That's a lot! I'd love an rs4 one day when I can afford to run it! The only thing with the r26's is that yes it's cheaper than the rs4 in that area but more things tend to go wrong so I guess you spend the same amount at the end of the day! I've never owned an rs4 so I can't say that for sure but that's how I see it!
