What have you done to your Car today?

Disabled the seatbelt warning beeper and changed my reserve warning to cone on at 8 litres as opposed to 6

 

Yeah. Been trying to get a working one for ages.

 

I did the seatbelt warning thing ages ago by taking the belt thing apart and seperating the metal inside abit more lol. So annoying.

 

Or just slip a piece of card board between the connectors , easier to make it work again

 

Whereabouts in clip is the reserve warning settings mate? I'd love to change mine

 

It's under instrument panel. If you are struggling, I'll do some screen shots (I love my new gadget).

 

I also went to car wash.

Just ouched up my alloys after kerbing one on Thursday night and random pot hole chips on another 2.

Black alloys with bare metal showing look nasty so fingers crossed this Halfords pen does the trick.

 

Added a dci to the fleet!

 

I got some generic black touchup from halfords and it was fine.

 

Got new number plates and a pair of Nankang NS2R's

 

Fitted rear shocks, inner tie rod tomorrow then tax it on Monday. Get to drive it again, been a long 3 months!

 

Sent an R26 steering wheel off to get re-trimmed for my R26.R, something a little different, I'll put pics up when I get it back .

 

Also got it ready for cadwell on Monday

 

Gave it a good clean ready for Pfc at knockhill tomorrow

Renault Reliability.

Had car in a local backstreet place today to fit new rear exhaust hangers. £10.

On the way I notice a LY R26 parked round the corner. As the works being done, owner of said yellow car comes in asking if he can get them to look at his front suspension as it's knocking. He asks about mine and what problems I've had. Turns out LY is his second after too many faults with the first. Then I notice the only other vehicle in the garage is a Traffic van. The a couple in a Senic pull up asking if the mech can look at it....

 

Got my r26 a fresh new mot today only advisory been a track rod end is very slightly worn

 

MOT for mine today, the previous owner had fitted eibach pro springs however fitted the front springs incorrectly so main dealer is having to correct this at a whopping cost of £300!!!!
ouch!

 

How is it possible for to fit them wrong? It's a simple thing to do

 

New JBL speakers fitted on a front. Nice upgrade of sound quality.

 

Got my megane booked in for next week to get the decat fitted, also getting a track rod end changed at the same time as it was an advisory on the mot the other day

 

Got the springs corrected for £60 in the end, they showed me before and after pics. Can't believe anyone could fit the wrong. Track rod ends are £12 each mate check out the oem suspension sticky
What speakers did u go for dinn ? Looking to upgrade mine soon

 

Gave her a quick clay and a wax. I'm no detailer but happy with the results.

 

JBL 55W I got box in the car so I can't tell you exact number yet. They are more than enough if you don't have amplifier. They used 4 dynamats, 2 special speakers adaptors, and moisture protection. It is far from perfection, but much better than factory fitted set.

 

Replaced the gear stick gaiter and given it a wash

 

Erm wash, mine could do with one, going in next Sunday for a full detail

Cleaner her. After 8 weeks of motorway driving, she's now ready to sit there and look sexy while I go to Beijing for our first race.

 

LOL I've had my rs for almost 8 months, and I've never seen another.
