Had this in for the last week, brand spankers driven from the dealers to me.

Weather upon arrival was wonderful, least it showed the car had no protection:

Washed and then rolled into the garge to be dried:

    Quick inspection before claying:

[FONT=&quot]In summary the car had alot of sanding marks left from the factory and afew marks over the paintwork giving a slightly dull and pink look to the paintwork, so the car was clayed, paint measured and then polished. Use the rupes bigfoot mini for the majority of the correction, was giving great correction with very little clear removal and also runs cool so as not to add any heat into the plastic panels.

    This left the following finish:

    Then onto a dust down:

Then wiped down with an ipa mix:

Onto the first part of the modesta with the primer, this lays down a protective layer which lasts around a year just on it's own, it's also filler heavy which is great for cars with very thin clear, also when topped with bc-05 this locks that effect in, applied via the rupes and a 3m yellow pad:

Leaving this finish just after the primer:

Then whilst leaving the primer to cure for 3 hours before using the modesta bc-05 coat, I used gtechniq g1&2 on the windows, three coats for the front and rear one for the side, before coating I triecleaning abilityd a new glass cleaner out, which I would thoroughly recommend,no streaks but with great cleaning ability:

    Exhausts done:

Onto the trims with gyeon trim:

    Engine was also Coated:

This had given the proper time for the primer to set so was onto the bc-05 coating, wheel were also coated at the same time:

All the mats were cleaned, carbon tub inside was protected, then leather protected and all the fabrics inc fabric arch liners:

Still had some finishing bits at this point but as the weather was ok I decided to get some afters:

  7. Brilliant work mate. Some great protection going on there!

  8. What a turnaround again! Car is fugly imho though

  9. Cracking result, shocking condition how the car left the dealership one of the worst I've seen!

  10. look great. I love the rear end, front it pretty hideous. those lights. what were they thinking?

  11. Great work as always mate

i think the headlamps are what make the car ugly, as the rest of it reminds me of an Elise...

@Steven cheers mate, yeah concept lights looked better, think the yanks get a better set of lights too. How youbeen mate reignited the megane passion?

  13. Wow Ed that looks amazing. As everyone else has said cars lovely apart from those lights.

Lovely car, reminds me of a Europa. Great job on it too.

No idea why you'd chose those lights over the other set though!!

How much do you typically charge for a detail / paint correction?

  15. gutted i didn't get down to see you working on that Ed, lovely car, looks porn.

So many variables Cal, drop me a message with what your after and I will be happy to give you a quote.

  18. no chance:cool:

  19. Top work as always mate.

Lovely car too but I'll reiterate what's already said, WTF is it with those headlights? If they were normal glass clusters it'd be a lovely looking front end. Those look like aftermarket Morette conversions. Shame as Alfas are generally lovely looking motors, if nothing else haha.

  20. Maybe the 4C designer was just a massive fan of the Matrix and loved the Sentinals...

  22. Great pictures and a good detail thanks for sharing.

As for the car.... Would anyone really take a 1.7L 4C over a Jag F-Type in the same price range!?

  23. Yeah the lights definately look too busy and a simple smooth glass lense would improve the look from the front. The rear looks like a elise and ferrari 360 molded together, but still wouldnt spend GTR money on a alfa! Lol

Been good mate, I'm in your neck of the weeks from tomorrow for the rest of the week.

Nah totally no interest anymore in the megane, so much so iv not cleaned it in months! Its now a mode of transport back and forth to work, until i finally fit all the parts i have and put it up for sale...

Where abouts mate? works mad at the minute due to the new car registrations.

That's a shame, what you going for after?

  25. I'll be in Hertfordshire for the rest of the week. Not exactly 2 minutes from you, but defo closer than Scotland. Lol

Ill only be selling up if me and the missus finally decide to move to OZ. Been offered another job over there, so tempted into going in the next 6 months!

Shame as I would be up for a meet but pretty much booked till November.

Yeah that's been on the cards for a while hasn't it mate.

  27. I'll not have much spare time anyways mate and not having a car down there makes things even harder.

yeah been offered a couple of jobs now, but always had to say no as the missus was still doing her further education thing. Now she's finished and has a job, it's looking more likely that we move across

  28. Amazing work, wish I could work a machine polisher as well as this.

An amazing looking car let down by headlights. That really does baffle me.

Great work on the cleaning though, always enjoy your write ups.
