Is this a sign of needing a new set of injectors or getting them cleaned?! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5UhLPPNAXo&list=UUPthFqJ38SWoVpArSi-PuIg Help would be much appreciated! Cheers,
I would say yes, a coughing/spluttering type noise usually is a sign that the injectors need replacing just changed ours for the same reason, it no longer makes the noises
they are about £160 for a set from Ads, a trader on here you can get them cleaned for a lot less as Joe has said, not sure how well that works or lasts I have never tried it
It's been a few months since I've had mine done and they still seem fine hopefully they'll last quiet a while.
Mine are making a racket too. Well a pronounced cough on tick over that's only noticeable due to my new exhaust. Injectortune do then for 50 a set posted cleaned sent back 3day turn around.
Yeah mine is more noticeable now too just because of the box chops I've done haha! How long would it take if I went to a local garage and got it done?!
Best sending them off mate. They send you back a report on spray patterns etc. Google them and watch the video.
My local ASNU dealer did the exact same thing. Photos, reports etc. very professional. Not only that I dropped them to him at 6pm Friday night and had them back on the car by Saturday afternoon.
You should notice a rise in MPG too once cleaned. Mine was only mildly coughing, I had them cleaned anyway when it was in for a service and my average MPG since then has gone from 28 to 30.4. Exactly the same driving and routes (90% of my mileage is my drive to work and back).
That's good value. Although I've never been a fan of Alton automotive. They seem to dislike ANYTHING made in the last 40 years.
Rang Aldon up. Injector clean is £9 each. Injector rebuild so new seals and filter is £14 each. :-) going down next week to get em done.
