Picked glass up from the boot and back seat after someone kindly put my rear window through last night. :mad:

Headbutted the boot as a strut failed after I opened it.

Cheers mate, it's not too bad as its £60 excess to get it sorted. Its just the inconvienence of it really and the earliest autoglass can fit it in is Wednesday.

As far as I know it was, never heard of megs rear windows spontaniosly smashing. lol but I am new to Renualts. Its was fine yesterday evening and was shattered this morning. It did rain very heavily last night but I can't see that causing it. Who knows though!

Just not sure not about autoglass fitting the new screen with the R26.R spoiler as it does get in the way of the rear screen?

 

I did think about that but I think I will stick with glass.

That's just stripped all wax off with tardis, iron x and then sealed with auto finesse tough coat.

 

Does this happen on cars with a tinted rear screen? I thought it happened when the windows were down?

 

I think the rear windows self-imploding can happen after you have been using the rear demister, happened to me on another car (Seat Cordoba) so it's not just a Megane thing!

 

Fitted. Didn't even break any clips. Someone get me a medal.

Serviced it and found play in the drivers side inner rod!

Because they are cheapo versions.

They do the job yea. Right pain removing the glass though! It ended up in a million pieces.

Shouldn't think so, sikofleck is more than strong enough or the sealant that bonds the windscreen in and the side glass windows for that matter

Put it up on the ramp in the work shop, removed all the wheels, removed and clean all the pads copperslipped all and refit. Changed the brake fluild and carried out a aircon service. Had a good old look around while it was up in the air. All good

 

Plastic 4 performance.

 

Ive got a set of the windows too and they're being fitted on Monday, don't think Im going to rivet them in though.
