250 See-me-home

  1. Accidentally found a feature I didn't know existed the other day.

If you pull the light stalk towards you with the ignition off before getting out the car, a message is displayed saying 'see-me-home 30s' on the dash display.

If you keep repeating this you can change it to 60, 90, 120s.

Once you get out of the car and lock it the cars lights stay on for your desired time and see-me-home!

  2. Lol! Even the MK2's have this. But you can't adjust the delay on them. Its a handy feature though.

  3. I only discovered it as i being clumsy getting out the car and wondered what the hell it was!

  4. I thought it stayed on permanently on the mk2s?

  5. No, on the MkII's it stays on for 30s for each pull, upto 2 minutes.

You don't get any message on the display to tell you though.

My 25yo dance instructor neighbour though it was clever when she could see to put her bins back the other night....

  6. Never knew that! Lol I always thought it was strange to have auto xenon lights without that function but I was wrong lol

Well I had no idea mine did this, useful though.

  8. How do you activate it?

  9. Can't you just switch the headlights on and off as desired with the key remotely?

  10. That is true ben, but quite a few people do use there key card keyless n and in there pocket.

  11. Of course, I can see the benefit if it's hidden somewhere. Unfortunately I have a poverty spec Trophy which needs to be unlocked the old fashion way lol

  12. On mine you just pull the stalk asiff your flashing the main beam as you get out the car.

Never knew they stayed on longer the more times you pulled it though.

So once you do that is it set? Surely you don't have to do it everytime you get out the car?

  14. Wow. I can't believe that some of you didn't know that. It is typical function in Renault cars.

  15. This is my first Renault.

  16. Well being a man I don't read instructions so wouldn't have read it and with this being the first renault I have owned it's not something I would typically know about

  17. No it's not set. You have to do it every time you require it as far as I know.
