  1. Hi all.

Bought my meg in August and everything worked fine.

Laat few days however my keyless entry doesnt seem to work.. i can still lock the car with the button on the handle and both keycards work to lock/unlock and start. Also the keyless start still works.

    Any ideas? Thanks

  2. is it on both doors that its not working ?

  3. Yeah both of them. Pain in the ass

    Also, the boot works fine

  4. Anyone got any ideas on this?

  5. sounds like its the sensors in the door between the handle and the door itself, i wonder if theres a fuse just for those sensors ?
ill have a look at the schematics and get back to you

  6. I read online yesterday that if you keep trying the handle while flicking the sensor it may open.. and it did.

Must be faulty sensors so ill get onto the warrenty!

    Thanks Torch

  7. npbs m8, iirc they are quite easy to change hardest part is getting the door card off LOL

  8. How do i go about removing the door card? Pull of off a bit then fixings in behind it? Ill end up breaking something haha

  9. I had similar situation today. I couldn't open door, just had to use button on a card. However keyless start was working fine. I started car, then tried again, and keyless entry works again. Weird, I hope it is not beginning any issue with keyless system.

I am assuming the cabin electronics doesn't make a squealing type of noise when you start the vehicle (indicating the card battery is low). If you use the button to lock the car the handsfree entry option is disabled until you next start the vehicle and turn it off.

Start the car and take it for a drive around the corner. Then pull up and shut it off but DON'T touch the button on the handle and instead just shut the door and walk away with the key in your pocket. When you reach a good 3-4 meters distance it will go "Beep-Beep" and the doors will auto lock. If this happens you should be able to walk up to it, grab a handle and open it without having to touch any buttons.

  11. I always just walk away. I never use button on a card, so it is just weird why both doors remained locked when I tried to open it as usual by pulling door handles.

  12. Did it happen after you washed the car? Sometimes the water can get in behind the black sensor cover on the door. Or if it's really clammy outside and the condensation builds up it can cause the sensor to get wet and then it stops working.

  13. No. It was before I washed car  It doesn't seem be related to water egress as weather was quite sunny.

  14. Might just be a typical Renault, maybe it's having an off day haha

  15. Hopefully it is day off, not retirement :-)

  16. I washed car today. It didn't work just after I had finished. I noticed that black sensor is bit loose and it may cause water ingress. Good point, thank you.

  17. Well at least you now know what's causing it.
