Hi all just fitted a double din to the megane , and I cut the bar out , and there's still a gap around the headunit , I'm guessing there is a fasica plate ? Any recommendations ? Also want to get the wiring loom to the hand controls it's a alpine unit if that makes any difference ? Cheers
Yeah get a fascia, I just got one off eBay. You can get the steering wheel thing there too, needs to be Renault/Alpine specific. My double din fit fine without the fascia, it just left a gap like you said. The fascia I got matches the general dark grey of the interior quite well.
Awesome just found the fascia ordered it was only £9 ! Only downside is , my R26 has a silver centre :@ but it'll be okay for now! Need to find the hand controls now as I like that haha
You're better off asking the seller on eBay. I can't remember the one I used but they had hundreds of different ones and found the right one for me easily enough. It was about £30-40 I think, but my unit is Sony. Paint your dash gloss black, looks much nicer. Silver paint fools nobody, nobody thinks it's actually metal. That'd be nice actually. Aluminium replacements for interior pieces.
