Pick up the car so the wheels do not touch to the floor. Then turn the one wheel in one direction. If the other wheel spins in the same direction is LSD.
This won't work as both the r26 & the quaife diffs are torque biased as opposed to a plated diff so you will still spin one wheel & the other wont turn. If you think it has a r26 box in then the number will start ndo 020 on top of the box where as a 225 box starts ndo 000. You could always put your foot down mid corner. If it pulls you towards the kerb it has a LSD. If it pushes you to the white line in the centre then it hasn't. Lee
Good good, was worried for a minute as when I was swapping wheels the other day,I'm sure one wheel was spinning on its own. Was thinking my lsd had given up reading this.
The other wheel turns (i have quaife diff.) Also if you block the one wheel you have to put much power to spin the other.
You have to do the experiment from the side that you have the long drive shaft. (i ll try next days to do a video).
ben at fcs i was driving to camp site and half on mud and half on road... i started driving and passenger wheel (on the mud) spun and flicked mud EVERYWHERE...while the drivers side didnt even move an inch? this means i dont have a diff doesnt it?
