I know its motorbikes and probably not something car enthusiasts are keen for but has anyone else been watching this years TT?
The senior TT race is on Friday, best hit the record button.i think one year I will have to go over, only got into it last year after watching "Closer to the Edge" and have loved watching it since. So much more compelling than MotoGP altho sad to hear that people die every year- so so far this week which kind of begs the question how much longer will they race that environment. The 600cc race was unbelievably close. I have been thinking recently about trading the R26 for something like an R6. We shall see.......... Si
Love watching it each year, would be good to go over for the week to experience the atmosphere and sheer speed close up.
I watched it last year on tv but missed it this time around but now ive been reminded ill have a gander its fairly impressive the way they can ride
I would love an S1000R BMW, but the .R would have to go and i would look like michelin man in a set of leathers now
Them BMW 1000r's are very nice ain't they Michael Dunlop is unstoppable again , he was on form last year but seems a new man this year . I think john mcguiness is starting to get a bit old for it too , not been on pace at all this year
RIP Simon Andrews and Karl Harris. Its mental what those boys do, seeing them shoot past at over 200mph 6ft from stone walls, everyone should visit IOM at some point.
Huge fan of the ducati, they are expensive tho and i hear expensive to maintain too but can still have the ducati website on my favourite list. McGuiness was having troubles with an injury And I think he pulled out of the super bike to give himself a rest for the zero bikes and with 21 TT wins under his belt he's still king of the circuit but Dunlop may pass that. Still want Guy Martin to win one though
I'm not really much of a fan of motorbike racing in general but I think we can all agree that there just 'something' about the TT. I honestly think it's quite unbelievable how fast these guys go on public roads. On some if not most parts of the course there is absolutely no margin for error. I really do think the guys that take part are all nuts. In a good way of course.
I agree, MotoGP is a bit stale, the odd race is fantastic. But the TT is something else. Plus I just wanna have the chance of taking my R26 on a blast around the circuit. If only........
And on a top of that it seems be more dangerous as it leads on a roads. Average speed of 187 km/h is amazing. Do you think RS275 Trophy R could do any better?
Interesting? You know I think not! 4wd in scooby helping keep the lines tighter avoiding those kerbs, would be a close thing that's for sure!
Mega lap, My heart rate was going up and up, Big balls required! No chance would the trophy-R get close to that, 4WD will make it a lot quicker, Not to mention its running nigh on 400bhp....
A mate of mine raced in the lightweight last year! I'm gel! Love the TT and have been watching it for a few years.. still need to get over there to experience it for real though! However a new record now stands... average of 132.xx mph wtf? These bikes and riders are getting quicker every year... funny to think whel the TT started the record stood at 36mph average or something like that lol Pagey get yourself a bike mate.. you can pick up bike from a couple of grand! The thrill is immense! 115hp, 160kgs and 13/14000 rpm red line on a 600 = big smiles and brown pants! Lol
Its ts absolutley class. After watching it for 5 mins I had tunnel vision and everything around the road was just a blur!
