Got my Cooksport springs fitted. Which was a good thing as my passenger side front spring was snapped, and it has allowed us to see that my passenger track rod end is gubbed, and there is a slight issue with the drivers side hub. I've booked the car in to a main dealer for Tuesday as i have a warranty.
Refitted my sabelt and plumbed in all the harness eyelets, had two contis on the front, cleaned it, fitted new track rod end and bought some exhaust rubbers to fit in the week.
Yeah mate, just dropped the car off at the garage there. Hopefully it will be all sorted by Monday. hope wedding and honeymoon went well bud.
Aren't you the guy that goes on and on about hid kits etc? Not going to lie, but the only thing worse than HiD kits are fog lights.
What is wrong with my fogs please ?? And yes I'm am the guy who is agains the kits, and going on the retrofit route that cost more than 500€ for ballasts 2xmatshushita d2s, osram d2s nbu, and hella e55 bi xenon d2s projectors (all of which is oem equipment on the rest of the cars)
And I'm not using fogs except when there is fog of traveling slow on some dirt roads and need foreground lighting to see little holes, and rocks
Popped into the post office to tax it as it was SORN over the winter. Fired it up and let it run a little and ill give it a quick power wash this week to get some dust off it.
Fitted forge intercooler on the 250 .....makes a difference alright, gets it up to the redline a lot easier and quicker! Can't wait for a re map now :-)
Got insurance, ordered 2 ps3's, new discs, ds2500 pads, goodridge brake lines and brake fluid. Spending already seeing as I only bought the car on Sunday
car in at garage today. getting a new drivers side drive shaft and passenger side track rod end covered through warranty. Apparently I need new rear pads and discs which is fully considering I replaced the pads last month. Chancers!
Test fitted the new alternator belt now the aircon has been removed. and got my head back so i will be refitting all the new valves this afternoon. I hate doing this part.
Had it in ay mates garage for a wee brake service (clean and a copper slip etc.) and a check over before the track session on Monday night.
I had my front strut top mounts and hub bearings replaced aswell as new front and rear discs and pads
Removed my injectors and had them cleaned. Fitted new disks and pads to the front. Just waiting on the rears now!
Had the air con regassed! Been a busy couple of months with MOT, tax, service inc plugs and injectors, a driveshaft and drop link. That hopefully should be it for this year though.
I got my roll cage, my oz allegerittas and a few other bits powder coated in Kawasaki green looks fucking mint
Removed another bit of heat shield from the exhaust today, looks stupid under the car now, only got the heat shield going over the axle and at the cat now
Its really simple. Get a piece of string or cut your old belt and wrap it round the pulleys, have a friend adjust the tensioner to make sure its right and either cut the string or mark the belt then measure it. Any more questions?
Measuring with string will never work for a start. I doubt cutting the belt would work either. With the 880 I 100% guarantee it will slip after a while. No more questions.
