Decided to retrim my centre console this evening, not done a bad job but I'll be doing another as I know where I went wrong this time.

It's a very close match to the seats, and I've got enough to do another 7, but I'll attempt a few other bits in the future.

  13. What's the material you used pal?
And how did you bond it?
Was it a pain getting in by the buttons?

Bought some alcantara off eBay. Used some spray adhesive to stick it, and the buttons weren't too bad, they're just a little rough around the edges and I need to tidy it up.

Should do mate, I'll be doing a few other bits in time.

  16. It looks ok for a first try
    You can only improve
    Hats off

  17. Alright Feirny,

Meg looks good mate. Will have to catch up and you can take me for a ride

Hopefully get the sunflower back to my gaff soon to get it ready for use. Give you and shout and you can come over if you like?

    Hope you're well

    Nath

  18. It all needs folding in round the edges not cutting round , would look a proper job then mate

Alright Nath! Yeah give us a shout mate, I'm no longer at ECP though but can still get you bits.

Yeah I need to get another one to sort and have a second go really.

One quick iPhone shot of the car now with R26.R fog blanks fitted. Never really been a fan of front fog lights, so bought some of these from Adam.

Looks great that! Not usually a fan of red but tht looks tidy

  22. I'm in. Two minds regarding the fog light blanks.

  23. Hi feirny, i fancy wrapping my clocks cover in alcantara how much was it off ebay or can i be really cheaky and pinch/buy a bit off you if you have loads left

    Feirny RSM Admin

I'll see how much I have left, but don't think it's much.

  25. I like the fog blanks too, how do they attach? What was the damage if you don't mind me asking

  26. Feirny

    Feirny RSM Admin

Screw in place of the fogs, a straight swap. They were £28 from Ads.

  27. Sweet I might invest as I rarely use the fogs and I've always liked the looks

It's a half hour job to swap as the bumper has to come off, be good to see them on a silver car too.

  29. Yeah I think they'll really contrast the dark wheels and I think I'm gonna get some r26r headlights before long

  30. Cheers pal

  31. Lovely car, perfect stance!

Got my car back from Mark last night after he fitted R26.R clutch and Solid Flywheel, as well as putting new driveshafts in that I'd supplied from Ads.
All was good until I got a few miles from home and I lost my clutch pedal, so after a phone call to Mark I managed to limp it home in second gear.
Mark drove up to mine this morning to investigate and fitted a new clip of some description that holds a pipe to the box (that's my technical explanation). Can't fault him, wasn't his fault and he drove up to sort it on a Sunday, he's a proper hero.
It was a shame as I'd planned to get up at 4am and drive up towards Northumberland, so those plans were scuppered. As I was bored and waiting for Mark, I fitted my new R26.R headlights I'd bought the previous week, 30 mins later and they were on.

    Not bad for under £200.

Need to get my front brakes fitted next, along with a short shifter.

  33. Looking good mate. Headlights look much better.

  34. Looks great that. Are the lights new? Is that the cost from new or did you drop on a bargain?

So that chapter is over, got a good offer on it from someone who I know will look after it. Hopefully she'll sign up here if she's not already.

Going to miss what was an exceptional car! Not sure where I go from here, but we'll see.

  36. Pics of car with new owner

@Feirny can you remember what size spacers you had?

    Feirny RSM Admin

5mm on the front and 25mm on the rear, I think.

Might be buying some more soon.
