Hi guys. Has anyone bought one of these that is a direct straight fit? I've seen a thread where someone had to modify it to fit and I am scared at the thought of that! :rolleyes: They seem a bargain, rather than spending nearly £500 on a Forge one.
I have one, and it's hardly modified to fit. You just need to file about 1-2mm of plastic off one of the location tabs.
As above, for the massive saving trimming a bit of plastic with either a stanly knife/ file / dremmel etc isn't too much trouble!
Is that all that's required?! I'm fine with that then. Seriously tempted to order one while I have some time off work, and get it fitted. Should help with the hot weather we are having!
Yeah, from memory its the passenger side locating tabs i, used a small dremel cutting disc and a sandpaper wheel on the dremmel to file back the tabs after that it just drops into place, it can be a little bit tight fitting the boost hoses on, but i fitted the enlarged forge hoses at the sae time so i think thats why it was a bit fiddly. It'l probably take a week or two to turn up

As when i bought mine i used winner racing, asked if they could price match a slightly cheaper ebay chinese special and they said they couldn't but would take care of the customs charges by sending it via holland? Anyway mine turned up with no customs charges etc and if it did i would have put in a paypal dispute as i had emails saying that they would cover the customs charge. Might be worth emailing the seller to confirm before you buy??
Even better if there won't be any customs charges. I will email the seller, "Dave" has answered a few questions for me already!
It depends how it's sent, if they come through Royal Mail they hold them until fees are paid, only from friends experience, mine is custom job byjob by
If he's been speaking to "Dave" 99% sure it will be winner racing on ebay, just type in 60mm intercooler megane and you should get a few Chinese ones pop up
Yeah, he was honest enough to tell me it may require some slight tweaks to get it to fit (as above), and confirmed no customs charges to worry about.
How much mike?, sorry my bad I've just seen it, don't be surprised if customs write to you asking for cash when it arrives over here, I expected no charges when I bought a load of hks items, how little did I know. Hope you get lucky......I didn't, I ended up paying £55 on a £150 order.
