Was a great event for showing your car off or watching motorsport. Shame we lost it to Russia and Brazil. I went to 2005, 2006, 2007 at donington then i missed a couple as it was on same time as my holidays then i was at silverstone 2009 and 2011
Went to the Silverstone ones and one of the Donington ones. They were a great events and helped create this fantastic community that Renaultsport ownership has. It is a great shame that after all the many millions we have given Renault they decide not to continue with the events in the UK.
They were good shows but my god showing your car on stand was a mistake, general public always assumed they were all owned by Renault so just helped themselves to touching and pulling them about.
It was never that bad at Donington it was when it moved to Silverstone that there became problems with people not respecting peoples cars
It never went to Brazil.... I miss it too though! Never worked a UK round as Silverstone in 2012 was a shared event with World Endurance I think. They massively cut back on the WSR events, last year it was only a few that were purely WSR. Motorland, Spa, Austria, Hungary, Barcelona, Moscow. The best event for spectators was Moscow! So much going on, but not many Renault enthusiasts! Heres hoping WSR is back in the UK in 2014, and that Carlin are back in WSR too!!
