Hey guys, Had my 250RS for a few weeks now and just realised that the OBD cover has been removed, does this mean that the car was remapped? perhaps with the bluefin plug and play? Or a permanent remap? how would I know I am thinking about getting the remap and exhaust done at the same time (like I did with my cupra before it got nicked....I got the seat remapped at AMD essex with is 5 miles from me. I've read some great reviewed about RS tuning but they are very far. I recall when I remapped my CUPRA they said it was a custom remap so is it the same thing? Exhaust Okay, i previously had the Miltek fitted on the Cupra which was just right I guess (it's not boy racer loud but just loud enough to hear but it won't annoy you like my mates ST exhaust that has a bad droning noise). What is the next step up from Miltek in terms of noise? only slightly please. Forge spacer I got one of these installed on the cupra, does anyone have a link to where I can buy one for the RS? just 1 to choose from right? thanks.
Welcome mate. AmD are currently offering 50% off a remap and free fitting with any Milltek system, worth considering if your going for nth the map and zorst. Not sure what a Forge spacer is, so you mean a recirc blanking plate?

AmD will use a dyno so yes it's a custom map tailored to your car. Never heard the Milltek in person so can't tell you how loud it is but my Scorpion is pretty sweet, nice and burbly on tick over and slow driving but can't really hear it over engine noise when booting it. These cars are very quiet anyway. A box chop is popular though and saves a lot of money. As for the 'spacer', you can get a Forge dump valve kit for the gear change hiss or just fit a blanking plate on the turbo for chatter ( tch tch tch tch ) but it's a pain in the arse to fit!
Thanks for the info, Ive been quote £435 (after half price remap) for the miltek, so a box chop sounds like a great idea if it gives the same result and can pass emissions. Assuming there's 2 boxes, is it the front of back box? And where can I get this done? I'm in essex, near lakeside! If you don't mind me asking, why did you get the scorpoin cat back then? You hear the air suction and then when you let off, the excess air is forced back out the open air filter.
Sonyboy im in Benfleet so your more than welcome to come and have a listen to my Scorpion and dump valve. I also have a spare blanking plate for the turbo and I've fitted 5 or 6 now so for £30 I'll stick that on your motor?
