Inferno Orange 225 Cup

  1. Hi, I haven't put up a progress thread yet on my Megane.
I've owned it for almost 18 months now and came from a Clio 172 Cup.
Mostly been maintenance so far rather than modifications but they will come in due course!
The car is a Phase 1 225 Cup.

Since i've owned it I have had the Cambelt/Aux belt & Waterpump done, Clutch & Flywheel, Hub Bearings done by Mark Black, Pads & Discs all round, NS Driveshaft, OEM Injectors, Exhaust Mounts and a Clock Spring, so it has been a case of getting it upto scratch first!

    I've done a few little bits too it such as;
    Backbox Chop
    Pipercross Panel Filter
    Forge Boost Hoses.

Next on the list is a stage 1 Remap, wheel refurb and a R26R Spoiler.

I cleaned the car on my day off yesterday and here are a few photos.

    Thanks for looking.

  2. Lovley car looks mint

  3. Lovely car that mate and best colour too!

    Welcome

  4. Nice to see a well kept ph1. Lovely car.

  5. Very nice mate. I do like a inferno.

  6. Out of interest, is it generally considered that the Phase Is are a bit unloved?

I know the R26 (and .R) model is more desirable but does that mean the Phase I is often overlooked and they don't get as cared for?

  7. Thanks mate.
Cheers mate, yeah love inferno, looks lovely once detailed/waxed was last done in Jan so needs a summer detail soon.

    Thanks mate.
    Thanks
I actually prefer the front bumper of the phase 1 over phase 2's, I do prefer the rear lights on the later models though.

  8. I am completely with you on that as well.

The Phase I has a fantastic front end, still looks good and really aggressive all these years later. Always thought they softened the front of the Phase II a little too much by merging the fogs into the front grill rather than the pods on the sides.

Like you though, Phase II lights on the back look better.

  9. Yeah that's my thinking too, the front end does look more agressive, my friend has a white R26 and parked next to each other I actually prefer the front of mine.
Definitely think a R26R Spolier is next on the agenda to add something to the rear, also thinking smoked side repeaters & anthracite Renault Diamonds to tie in with the standard wheel colour?

  10. Looks really nice that mate. Phase 1 front end is much nicer, in my humble opinion. Same plan as me, I want an R26R rear spoiler too, the normal one is a token gesture isn't it!
