  1. Hi guys,

  2. It is right size, but you shoukd have gone with OEM

  3. i can't believe its that small, can't even say i know what the OEM one looks like

  4. Oem is brushed stainless steel and the gear numbers are engraved preatty deep. Will take a photo later if you wish

  5. Please do, interested to see this!

  6. Mine is just a plastic one, numbers have faded off.

The one above may look nice but its not curved like the original.

  8. Does look good mate! like how its still curved as well!

  9. Both my 225s have a plastic gearknob insert, one is a 2005 and one is a very late Phase I. The 2005 Trophy had a very faded gear knob which I have replaced with the same one as in the picture, fits nicely and

Although it's not flat not domed, it looks the part and shouldn't wear like the plastic one did.

Not sure about the metal inserts, could be the usual Renault trick of changing random specs as and when. All I know is that a replacement gear knob (which is what you'd have to buy as insert not sold on it's own) is about £55.

  10. I'm so lucky

  11. I see yours is a DCI so I wonder if the gear knob insert is different (and better!) on your model?

  12. How odd haha

Is it a phase II 225 change?

I do suspect it could just be a Renault thing where they change things as and when. For example my car is a 2006 phase I and a chap I knew had a late 2005 Phase I. Mine had little things that were like a phase II. A bit like Renault changing the engines
