  1. Can someone recommend me a 55w 5000k hid kit? Lots of cheap ones on eBay but can't help but think they might be tosh, don't wanna mess about putting something cheap in to just have to replace it as this isn't the easiest car to change bulbs on

Got mine from carmodshop.co.uk, work well and 2 yr warranty.

  3. You got a link mate as there's a lot on there that look similar?

  4. Go for CNlight bulbs and stay on 35W ballast, a 50W will decrese the distance you will see, and will produce too much glare.. Despite being in projectors (halogen one).
Regarding ballasts go for more expensive ones... The cheap ones are just... Not up to the job

  5. I could swear I read somewhere that the 35w create more glare?

  6. Wrong 100%

  8. How do I know if I have projectors or not as I heard that contributes to most of the glare?

  9. You have not seen a gothid projector if you say focus has god hid projectors.
There are lot better than focus oem hid... Especially if you compare them to halogen projectors. You eithel lie your self and beleive that but you should see some lexus hid projectors. (Talking low beam only projectors)

Also the halogen DO glare with hid bulb 100%
They can glare lessor more, buttheydo glare...

  10. They look like this gaqupyju.jpg

  11. this is a set of oem halogen projector on the right and on the left (looking at the pics not actual side on car) is a xenon projector

if your headlight look like this, than you have HALOGEN projectors
if they are not looking like this than please for the sake of all the drivers you drive in trafic, please don't do xenon.

iy you want anything near oem quality

    and ballast:

this would be optimal, cheaper ones only something like this :

  13. i am a bit confused, surely i DONT want projectors for HID'S but your saying if my headlights don't look like the above then i shouldn't do HID'S??

  14. You want projectors if your planning on fitting a HID kit.

  15. so what are my options without projectors?

  16. get Original osram or hella (normal not extreme or anything) bulbs, if you are after white colour use xxetreme vision, or night braker,
or if your bulbs are old, simply a pair of new ones is more than noticeable difference.
you could go and open up the headlights and retrofit projectors in it. http://www.theretrofitsource.com is a very nice place to start,
