Advice please

  1. Hi guys, after a bit of advice. I would like to get my wheels powdercoated but all of the local companies (that I have contacted) need the wheels off the car and without tyres. Now this is a problem as I don't have a spare set of wheels to use in the meantime.
Is it worth buying a cheap set as spares or shall I just buy some completely new ones? trying to keep the cost down as much as possible.
    what do you guys think?

Be cheaper just to go somewhere that has tyre removal capabilities

  3. Its all down to how far you want to travel for a good service, must be someone in your neck of the woods that can help.

  4. 1.5 h drive to Slough. Then train to Bath. Next day other way around. 2 days, 420 GBP for set of 18/19" diamond cut. 340 for regular set. I have done it last month. Wheels look like new. Google Autowerk Slough.

  6. That's a lot of pennies for a refurb normal seems to be about fifty a wheel down here, I paid two hundred for my four 18s that was with taking tyres off/on.

  7. I have had a quote of 182.40 inc vat for all 4 powdercoated in anthracite. they are 5 mins away aswell which I why travel seems a bit pointless.

  8. It is very good price. I had checked prices around and for example in High Wycombe they wanted 520 GBP. They bake wheels in the oven not just under UV lamp. I would really recommend them. But you get what you pay for.

  9. It seems to be price for mobile service. They are cheap and good if you want to sell car. UV lamp will make it strong enough for 6 months.

  10. Anyone fancy lending my some wheels for a week? ill pay for the privilege.

  11. this is their website http://www.williams-oakey.co.uk/ They do more machinery parts I guess but they are always busy when I drive past.
