Got my car in at mark fisher for a nut and bolt check before an mot. looks like I need a new steering rack as there is play in the inner joints and the play is quite bad. Renault are asking for £400+. is there a cheaper option or do I bite the bullet..
Mark black can do it cheaper and has done loads, I had mine replaced in December. Around £300 fitted.
there is someone on here selling replacement bushes for the steering rack which should take out the free play. if you do a search for them you should find it, its the same guy selling the airtec intercoolers.
The racks are the same across the Megane range, the only difference are the inner rods (longer). Your best option is just getting the bush. Paul
