    Hi guys
Got a megane 225 nice and cheap off a local garage, the owner had taken the car in after shorting the alternator, the garage has had a look at the car checked usual stuff like fuses etc and got nowhere. Got the car dropped off earlier and again checked the fuses, tried to jump it, disconnected the alternator tried starting nothing. The only thing that works is the hazard lights and the locks, inside the car and by keyfob. The boot switch doesn't work interior lights etc nothing. Anyone have any ideas before I get a friend round?

  2. Ed if some one has a wiring diagram this is a good place to start, there may be a hidden fuse some where.

All sorted, if anyone else has similar try the cal 1 fuse on the battery positive terminal.

Yeah was the one I had been searching for, if you take the red cap off the positive, look at the cable you have 2 30amp fuses in orange and the main gray one in the centre is 300amp I think.

  6. Neither did I. That's well handy to know.
