I asked my dad to walk away with the reanault card/keys and the car auto locked, however as I was inside i could still open the door which suggest the car wasn't deadlocked? So, I read the manual (page 1.8) and it says you can deadlock only by pressing the lock button twice on the card or press the driver's door handle twice......the issue is, if you use these 2 options, the key less entry function no longer works....have I got this all right? What do you guys do to lock your RS? Thanks.
Deadlock is so important, thieves smashing your window can't reach in much to grab your stuff...so stops them doing more damage
If you press the button on the handle twice when you go back to open it keyless works as normal, if you use the card button twice you have to open it with the card! I always deadlock mine using the button on the handle, it closes the windows too if you've left them down
pressing the handle button twice will deadlock the car and if you hold the button in it will close the windows and leave the handsfree working fine, but if you press the key card button the handsfree has to be reset
They should every time unless you have unlocked the car with the remote. Take a look at the initial setup menu when stationary, I am not sure but I think the option might be there.
