250 - Remove air box without battery

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by alexrobinson202, Apr 20, 2014.

  1. Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the (entire) air box from a 250 WITHOUT removing the battery? For various reasons I don't want to disconnect the battery, but would like the air box out!

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers

  3. If its like the r26, which is looks pretty similar, then no

if its for your audio you are trying to get through for i just had mine done so can have a look tomorrow how they did it

  4. Yes, it's for the audio - I'm trying to fit 0AWG cable which is about 20mm diameter. Would be great if you could let me know what they did on yours!

  5. You could just connect jump leads or a charger to the terminals and then disconnect the battery, that way it will still keep the power and the battery will be out the way. Simple.

  6. Ok mate ill have a nosey tomoro!

  7. Not a bad plan - I might give that a go! Cheers

  8. They have done it so well i can barely see it. If you are looking in the engine bay just under the plastic scuttle panel the very top right of the engine bay there is a rubber grommet rectangle shape at 180deg to you they have gone through there.

  9. Great, cheers - I'll take a look at that spot.

  10. To get my sub power through I used a piece or wire like a coat hanger and managed to get it through the grommet and beside the airbox/ battery without moving anything
