Been reading a lot on the internet about stage 2 tunes on the megane. I had decided to buy the following: Intercooler DIY ITG Induction kit Turbo back decat milltek exhaust system RS tuning remap But then after reading more it seems sensible to also do: Injectors Also I then read about the weaknesses with the engine and stronger internals are needed. Would I be better just doing a stage 1 with say a cat back exhaust system and induction kit OR JUST change the intercooler and do a stage 2 remap and leave the rest alone so that I am not pushing existing parts too hard????
Do the mods you planned, Paul wont let you leave with something that's not safe... Since they've started limiting the torque to 300lb/ft there has been no engines im aware of that have gone bang.
you don't really need the injectors. Injectors are only needed from my experience if you are running a hybrid turbo and custom intake/air filter.
I was on 98% duty on injectors on stage 1 and the I fitted a 3" system and I had to have bigger injectors fitted
What about Forge Actuator? Sorry to bump an old thread but is this required for Stage 2 Map? Have already; Ktec 3" exhaust Decat pipe Forge Recirc ITG panel filter Was planning to let RS Tuning for injectors when I get the map done . . .
U need, decat with 3" exhaust, big ic, forge dv and actuator, an induction kit. Inyectors only for a better tune.
You'll need the injectors for an RS Tuning stage 2, but not the actuator or recirculation valve. But they are very shiny. . .
See what mine makes later In the year. Running around 270bhp with 300lbft as it is now. Bigger injectors, Decat 3' Itg ind kit Shortshift all being ordered soon.
Anyone fitted a Forge Actuator . . . seems like a tough job . . . ? Also what de-cat pipes have people fitted?
The actuator seems okay but the recirc valve needs tiny hands. No idea how you set the rod on the actuator though!!!
I have itg induction kit and made 261bhp & 280ftlb Paul told me to expect 290+ with those mods and stage 2. Quoted £900 all in to supply, fit and map which isn't bad IMO.
I've got currently: Forge Fmic Forge recirc Forge actuator Itg panel element Manley con rods Arp bolts Ktec 2.75 system Injectors aren't majorly expensive neither is the other stuff to be fair. So with Decat,Itg & injectors I'd be pushing the standard turbo to its limit.
Yup I had that convo I talked to Paul about a hybrid 250/265 turbo which sounded fun but I'd need a lot of engine work lol.
