Osram night breaker unlimited bulbs?

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by sharkymarky88, Apr 16, 2014.

  1. Hi chaps,

I've got a headlight bulb out and am looking for a replacement, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291099935531

I've got a set of night breaker plus' as spares but I don't like the colour of them as they are quite creamy, these ones however have a blue tint so I'm wondering if they will be any whiter? The light emitted from the night breaker plus' was great so I'm hoping these will be the same with the added bonus of being whiter!

    Any help is appreciated!

    Cheers guys,
    Mark

I've got them as my main beam and they match the white of my 5000k HID dip beams. They are probably the best road legal bulbs you can get at the moment.

  3. +1

  4. Check out euro car parts .. They were on offer less than half price a few weeks ago when I bought mine

  5. I actually preferred my PIAA bulbs over Osram. But they are VERY pricey in comparison. Have a look:

Edit: I've never bought direct from PIAA before and never realised how bad their website is lol, but their stuff is very well known and used widely in motorsport.

  6. Great stuff guys thanks for the advice, I'll order a set this minute

  7. I use night breaker plus full beams and unlimited in the fogs they are very good in my opinion mine seem to be white to me lol

  8. What brand of hids do you have pal?

Hi mate. You can easy change the dip beam via the hole in the arch liner, just remove the wheel and the panel. Its pretty tight. Much easier to remove the entire arch liner.
    Cheers,
    Jonny

  12. Hi mate, thanks for the quick reply. Sounds easier than taking the bumper off so will give it a go.

  13. Yeah, if you have hands like a 5 year old

  14. I'll get my 4 year old lad on the tools in the morning then

  15. Are these a vast improvement for the main beam? Or are they dipped?

  16. On closer inspection mine are xenon bulbs... If it's just the bulb that's blown it's £70 a pop from Eurocarparts!! Jesus!!

  17. Which ones did you go for Sargara ? There's a few H7 fitments in your link, how long do they last ? Lifespan on the osrams are pretty poor :worried:

  18. Well I fitted the night breaker unlimited bulbs and I wasnt overly impressed if I'm honest, they are a lot brighter then standard but they aren't white in colour as they are advertised to be, they are very creamy coloured.

So theres my verdict.... bright but not white :worried:

  19. Extreme White Plus as it has a 55W draw like the Osrams do, Not sure how the Megane will like the Platinum White's 100W so better play it safe. Like i said I purchased mine via an ebay reseller so its worth having a check too and see if theres any savings compared with buying direct. Also mine were for a Mk2 Ph1 clio FYI.

What fitment are they? I have H1's in 2 cars and they both match my HIDs.

  21. I just went on Autoexpress web site where they do a test on all the bulbs, got some Ring xenon max 100% brighter from Amazon £13 inc p&p, work well on dip and main beam, but don't expect them to be like searchlights.

  22. a shame there not as white as you wanted I still think they look good in mine fpdefinately the best lights I've ever had
