Hi, I've been using the Supersprint full exhaust for a while now~4 months. MOT time in 2 months and today the emission light came on. Just my luck.. Now my options are: 1. Extend the lambda sensor wire using the extension that came with Supersprint package and have some local renault service reset the emission error light. 2. Purchase Rstuner from fastchip and remove the emission error light myself 3. Go to a local Renault service to reset the light just before MOT time. Questions. Does the emission light error cause anything.. I mean can the car be driven like before? Has anyone extended the lambda sensor wire? Br, Toby
You can remove the emissions light with a cheap code reader, but your emissions might be high and fail the MOT on that?
Hi Karl, that sounds good, where can I purchase one? I forgot to mention I already have the MOT test certificate that I will give show to MOT tester so the emission itself is ok, but the error is that will fail.
Well I ordered this one.. I think it will work.. http://www.icarsoft.us/web/icarsoft...ntools/2012/201209/20120903131851pyoyt_1.html going to have to extend the lambda sensor wire.
That should do the job, i got mine from amazon for £10 odd, makes mine look cheap! Lol The reader will just clear the light but it will/might come back on. but literally takes 20 seconds to erase the code.
I got it for a special price £35, last piece. Yes that's why I need to do some modifying to the lambda wire.
