Hi all, I was fitting a Forge coolant hose kit the other day and found that a couple of hoses didn't match the originals on my car. Since then I have checked the Dialogys part list and can see how the Forge hoses are intended to go. I think they have modeled hoses from an earlier car and on my Sept 09 RS26 things have changed a little. I think Renault have tried to increase flow through the oil filter housing heat exchanger on my hose setup and include it in the circuit from the header tank. What are your thoughts? I've included some photos. I ended up refitting the standard piece for the time being. The Forge hoses mirror what's in the diagram, the longer hose is #6. My car has the radiator plugged at this point. Thinking about it, the setup in the diagram is pretty daft as the flow through the heat exchanger must be terrible. So maybe the setup on my car is the one to stick with? Cheers, Jonny.
I have absolutely no idea but I wondered which version of dialogys you were using, is it the latest or an old one? Hence the difference?
I think it was 4.6. Not the latest. But Dialogys matches what Forge have done but neither match my car which was probably produced later than the Forge kit. Its possible that the graphics aren't updated between Dialogys versions.
Get onto Forge to do you the correct set up, they should be able to copy that OE pipe easily enough if you provide it. Mine is 2006 and has the set up as per the diagram and the forge hoses. Paul
I'm waiting to hear back from them. I need to get the car running so will be unable to send my hose unless I can find one on ebay or something. To be honest, they should order one up themselves! I'm waiting to hear back from them so hopefully it will be resolved soon. All my standard hoses were completely fine anyway, so running with a standard section will be fine until I next have it in bits. Cheers, Jonny
Forge don't seem prepared to get a hose produced, so I will probably opt for the discount they offered.
