250 Megane 250 front strut brace

  1. Seen this on KTR website, I know the 250 doesn't really need one but looks a nice piece of kit for some engine bling? Nice and easy to fit too. I particularly like how it mounts directly to the struts and not the bodywork like cheaper options, pure motorsport do the same on their front strut kits for the clios and they give very good results. Thoughts?

  2. I don't think the car needs it but it's nice to see some new aftermarket stuff coming along for the 250! I'm just hoping for more of a coilover selection now ...

  3. I would want better quality welding than the one ktec have advertised, looks like snotters! Not to mention the brace itself looks cheap, just looks like two tubes stuck to a couple L plates. Would be better if it was a square/oval pipe etc. Just my opinion though.

  4. It doesn't look very solid. It may be just tuning gadget, and will not give you any noticeable advantage in performance. Proper N4 rally version looks different.

  5. I've got one on my Megane.

This is really not the same front drive train since it's fitted on the car. Not a tuning part, definitly change the precision of the front, and rear come more easily to contol.

This is a part i won't remove for any reason!

I think the same. I have it in my car but in best material than the Ktec and works well.

  7. Wont have any effect the turrets are so close to bulkhead they're unlikely to flex much.

  8. Try and tell us.

All people i know who has fitted one tell this is very noticable.

  9. Are there any other versions available besides K-Tax?

  10. Ben,
Ktec bar is a Wiechers brand's bar. You can find it in alloy, steel or carbone.

  11. The pure motorsport one for the clio fits over the solid top mounts and the top mounts are bolted to the turret so it makes it very rigid (it is the same sort of design that the clio cup cars used), this is not even attached to the top of the shock it's only held on by a bolt that holds a top mount in place by the looks of it ( I have never looked at mine so not 100% sure) I stand to be corrected.
here is the PMS one on my clio track car
