  1. This sould be a straight forward one, which is the best air filter for the r26 ?. Or is it best to keep the standard air filter . You're thoughts on this please .

  2. your going to get a lot of opinions on this
mine came with a K&N panel filter fitted and I think it sounds great once the airbox is opened up a little

  3. I think it's a lot to do with personal preference. Myself mate I got the ITG panel filter from k tec and it's absolutely fine. Thinking of buying the ITG induction kit next tho ready for my re-map when I can be arsed to book one.

  4. Yes mine has a k+n filter at the moment . Only just got the car, so was having a bit of a poke about. It needs a clean and re-oil. Not sure if I should just buy a standard filter , as the car has not been remapped .

  5. You'll do well to see much gains from any so don't throw your money on the thought of that. I had a pipercross panel filter with air box mod but just done a DIY ITG induction which sounds mental tbh! Like it wants to suck up the Tarmac! Love it though!

  6. Thats not true.

The ITG kit opens up the breathing a fair bit.

  7. Really? We talking 1/2 ponies or a few?

  8. From what I can see on otter peoples naps compared to mine, upto 10.

  9. With supported mods and mapping maybe so but I just can't see it for a straight swap.
But I hope so mate, I really do as Iv just swapped mine so time will tell.

  10. What did you swap it to ?.

  11. From pipercross panel filter to a DIY itg kit with forge intake pipe.

With air filters, you're never really going to see huge gains from a different set up. Just chose one that sounds best to you.

  13. Any photos of this?

  14. Evening all, so first post of many I should think as I'm a newbie here, I have just brought my trophy , which is currently set up with a decat , hks dv , and has been mapped by k-tek to 269.4 running fine but I fancy fitting an induction kit to it, question is will I need to have it mapped again if I change from the standard that it has been mapped with ,
    Cheers in advance,

  15. welcome, no you won't need another map if you add an induction kit
