Re map paid tax bought some new injectors re tapped the hubs to clean up the threads and fitted new black wheel nuts been busy
Wired my heated recaros in finally... Also tinted the clear part of my rear lights, not sure how it'll look on silver. Nice little mod for the £3 it cost me though.
Yes mate the guide is very handy. Took me about 40 minutes as not done it before. Make sure you have a rag under the fuel rail when you take it off as abit comes out.
Fitted the lights I tinted yesterday... I think they would look amazing on red or black but it didn't really suit silver, which resulted in this...
Easy mate I would say though if you follow the guide on ms leave the wires on the injectors until you take the fuel rail out they are pretty diddly and hard to get on and off if you do it before you take the rail out hope that makes sense
Had 2 rear tyres fitted (bought there's from a member here), injectors replaced and a service including new plugs. All done by Mark Black at a price roughly £100 cheaper than a Renault dealer would charge just for the service! Then the bad news, Mark says 'watch the coolant as the bottle was empty' - I tell him I only filled it a couple of weeks ago so he pressure tests the system and the rad has a leak  A driveshaft seal needs doing too, so that's another trip to Mark in a couple of weeks. Still, I think 2 Goodyear F1's, injectors, a service, a driveshaft seal and a new rad all done for around £600 is pretty damn cheap. My mrs paid £230 just for a basic service on her DS3 last week!
Retrofitted an auto-dimming rearview mirror, washed, applied glass sealer and another coat of wax to it.
Foamed, washed, clayed, washed, dried, polished, sealed, dressed. Tomorrow's job the interior as I didn't have enough daylight
Where did you get the mirror from Smegal, if you don't mind me asking? I've seen a few on eBay, but not sure if they're the right ones.
Took my window reg out as the window kept going up a d down of its own accord....quite chilly at 120 today..
I'll get one tomorrow. The only real difference is that it's slightly bulkier had sensors on the front and back and doesn't have the level for aiming it down. I just got it from a local scrap yard (leeds). My car had the plug just there unused. I read on here that they are a straight swap. It was a massive ballache to remove my mirror. I ended up CAREFULLY tapping if with a hammer to get it off.
All new brakes fitted.. DS1.11 front pads Brembo HC front discs Renault rear pads Renault solid rear discs DS1.11's are EPIC. Downside was finding a 3" nail in one of my PS3's (only 8 months old FFS), hole was on the outside edge so not repairable , wallet £120 lighter
I've ordered auto dim rear view off ebay. I figure I don't want to miss out like the mist pattern washer jets lol.
