Looks the exact same to me and why is it made up of so many pieces welded together and not just bent ?
I'll ask the question , hi Sokol where did you get your exhaust from and whats the spec of it. Cheers steve
From Paul @ RSTuning. Not many exhaust places has hydro forming.Therfore it is better to buy pre shaped pipes and cut it than weld it, to shape you want. With that metode, you retain the diameter of the pipe. That is why it is called true 3" exhaust.
Looking good as always mate bet you cant wait to get it fitted now? Are you still going to ceramic coat the manifold? nearly £4k spent and you get 2 comments, kinda makes having a blog worthwhile....not! Lol
Thank you guys. @Steven878 I'm not rushing.Have to double check if I have everything before I start.Yes I will coat downpipe, turbo exhaust housing, manifold and turbo intake pipe. Lol about the blog part Steven . @Gray I have to agree manifold is really work of art it is almoust a pity to coat
Hello, Can you show a couple of pictures or at least explain what modifications you've made to the subframe to limit the movement. I'm in the same position and I want to see what others already made and if you would do it differently, how. Thank you
Thread need some update.Below is some random photos of the build. At the end is also a video.Maped to 1.6 bar 630 's maxed out. Ceramic coated Moded airbox Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58vDKAVwd-0
New IC.Forge didn't do the job.Inlet temp were 85 deg.Now are 12 deg abowe outside. Power wise around 420 HP
Finally some pics of the new shiny parts!! Great progress mate, have you done any trackdays since fitting the bigger turbo?
Not yet.Going on redbull ring on 21.But just looking my new logs. And looks like I'm running a little bit on the lean side.Better talk to Paul before doing any serius track work out.
What happened to the idea of using the 250 fuel rail, as you seemed pretty sure it was up to the job? Data logs after fitting the new intercooler, as that might explain the car running lean? also might not be 100% accurate if not checked using wideband lambda, but I'm sure Paul will sort you out
The idea using the 250 rail was staing with the returnlees fuel system. But with the bigger pump in the tank, fuel starvation is the problem that is why I have change to full return system. Looks like IC might be the reason for leaner AFR's as the air geting in the engine is a lot cooler. I'm reading the AFR with narrrow O2 and converting to AFR as I have tons of data ..But for sure I will connect the wideband to fully check the AFR's
Is it running with full return system now? Seeing your comment saying it's running 400+ now i guess it is?
And Paul mapped it via the rstuning box? any boost plots, dyno run or anything? i'm thinking about going big turbo too but being in the NL i have the same problem as you regarding mapping. what's the current spec?
He did finish the map via rstuner as I have turned the N75 valve wrong and we didn't spot this until later and was only boosting 1.3 bar.Paul flew over here and map it on the dyno. Running 1.6 bar.Now I have bought the Plex boost controler with 7D boost control including throttle possition vs boost. Spec:gtx3071, 630 injector (100% open@1.6 bar), full return fuel system with pressure regulator, swirl pot+dw300 fuel pump all on teflon hoses.Fuel system was 2000 EUR alone did't think it is going to be that expensive. 3" turbo back with 200 cel cat and center box. Tial westgate.... this tial is cosing me big problems.Overboosting not consistent boost eaven with close loop boost control. It is leaking throu the valve guide and needs a loot of heat to star working.I will have a look over the winter what can I do to seal this. But it is a pain in the a*s to get to the wg.
This is with 1.3 bar or less don't remember exactly. This one is probable prity close to actual numbers with that boostIt was maped on this rollers Now with more boost I didn't dyno the car on the same dyno as with 1.3 bar so can't compare.Bit this dynos are showing very high number aspecialy the one with 500 hp.In really is probable making around 430 HP.
Are you running different cams or are they standard? So you aren't running boost through the OE ecu anymore now? Would be great if you put it on a RR how it's driving now, looks really powerfull on your vids!
Still on standard cams. But head and intake manifold was ported. I'm thinking about the cams and bigger injectors, but not sure if I need any more power . First I have to fix this sh**y westgate than I will dyno the car with 1.6 bar maybe more. Yes boost is controled via boost controler. But it was running fine with N75 until wg started to play. But at first we tought the boost control (N75) was not fast enought to run on 1.6 bar.(ECU can only see 1,55 bar in close loop)
I've read paul is able to tune it open loop too, there's a guy in the UK running 1,8 tapering to 1,6. good to see the cams are good for that sort of power, why did you(paul) lower the rev limiter on the 1,6bar tune? Seen vids of it running higher revs on 1,3bar
That is correct. We also tryed the open loop but westgate still didn't cooperate. No more fuel to go higher.100 % IDC@7000...limiter @7150
