I know there is a few on here who are into there pedal bikes on road esp. Just paid for this today and pick it up tomorrow all sorted with a few extras I bought too. Had a GT I Drive 4.0 that I had for about 6 years that went a while ago and have been after a new one for sometime. what pedal bike do you have?
My main steed giant reign 2005 iirc built her myself from the ground up great fun on the am dh stuff not so great on the climbing LOL
Used to do a lot of downhill, this used to be my steed until I sold it in 2012. Built it all up brand new, best bike I had ever owned. Moved to something a little more AM now, as the thought of coming off and breaking more bones is a little too much of a deterrent for me to ignore. (I apologise for the dismal picture), it's a 2011 Specialized Enduro Evo Expert. Goes up just as well as it goes down. Brilliant all rounder.
Well bikes is my daily grind, anyone need advice or parts or even a bike let me know, we do all cycle schemes too including halfords. www.jccookcycles.co.uk or Facebook JC cook (my pitch done)
Doh! Re read post ya just got boardman, but wait tell me your budget and you can still send that back for a refund, cube are way better and we got quite a few bikes on offer too,
What sort of price can you get for a Cube Analog 2013? Found a brand new one on eBay for £470, which I'm quite tempted by.
Nearly All the 2013 stock has gone now and when a cube mountain bike goes down in price it dont stand about long and belive it or not quite a few of the 2014 are running out, we also do Orange, Ridley, Marin, to name a few, We are also just building a "bike superstore" new build, the steel has gone up this week
What i had to do today, build the cube Hanzz SL (£3,095) and fit some hope brakes and pedals (£120 for pedals stupid!!) and build up a KTM ltd anniversary bike, aswell as the other crap i had to deal with
I'm still riding a 2001 stump jumper comp. it's got me to work everyday, all weathers. Looking for a new ride soon. May try a road bike as I've got a 20 mile round trip nearly everyday.
Ya brake is on the wrong side unless ya a lefty coz running one brake ya want ya strongest hand to use it, but most leave it as is when ya pull front off
Aye av always have then on the left side never used a front brake lol just getting back into it my mates buyn a dh bike next week so thot I should get or cleaned and ready to use
Yup i build, fix and sell bikes, the bottom bracket ant too bad its more the correct tools for the job, all you need to remember is the right hand side (drive side) is left hand thread
What sort of tool would it be as it kept snapping brackets years ago so was going to put a new/ better 1 in? Cheers tho
first you will need a 8mm allen key to take ya crank bolts off, and it looks like it could be isis b/b so you will need a crank remover for the bigger hole and a shimano b/b tool, could do with a few close up pics to be sure, all tools for around £20-£30 depending on quality and where from. hope it helps john.
I'll have a check tomorro as it's in bits in my boot so I can take it to work and clean it all up nd tht so will check. Cheers for the info tho defo know who to ask if I'm stuck lol
Offt bet that hurt me nd my mate were talking about all the crashes and tht we used to have nd I just brought back so many funny memories
Haha! Yep. Love biking injury chat. I tried to walk that off but every time I pinched it together it opened up again.
I really need to grow up. I have a lovingly specced bmx and a fuji track bike for long distances. Anyone into seriously old bikes? I have a 1930s (pretty sure its 1937) hercules roadster in the shed thats mid "restoration/rat-rodding" but have hit a bit of a snag with handlebars
I recently bought a Cube Attention, off Gumtree. Haven't been out on it yet, hopefully get a chance over the weekend.
