Ok, well I have my Trophy and I rather fancy a boost gauge but have no idea where to begin. I mean I don't even know how these things are fitted. Could I be cheeky and ask for some pics of how you guys have them fitted. Also are these mechanical or electric? Any advice would be great.
That looks fantastic! I quite like the idea of fitting gauges under the stereo, like in a blanking panel or something like that?
He's lucky enough to be in Spain though, not ever going to be cold enough to make an external temp gauge useful!
So how do you physically fit a boost gauge, not so much location wise in the car but actually connect one up? I saw a post on here that you can have an electronic one but also seen ones that connect to a pipe under the bonnet, which makes some sense. How easy is it to connect one or other?
Electronic or analog - You connect them in same place You need to connect to a small pipe which is going to recirc valve (on turbo) or to BOV if You don't have recirculation valve. I have gauges in original sunshield of the radio display I made it by myseft and then get flocked
I have mine under the radio using this... http://bit.ly/11CXa4k The price is £9.99, not £999! They look great there and are not in your face. Paul
This pod holder doesn't fit netly. I try this before I make my own gauges holder in radio display sunshield (using triple gauges pod to builid it )
I chose this option as I prefer the more OE look. The dials match the existing speedo/rev counter with the silver outer ring, blue/white backlight and red needles. There's no cutting or fabrication involved, just remove the plastic tray and insert this dial holder, it really is as simple as that. Paul
I was looking into a scangauge 2 and placing it into the dash radio display. Any thoughts on the scangauge?
that's exactly the look I'm after, can you remember where you got the gauges and holder from mate? Cheers
I was looking at getting some gauges in the top display area but think I'd rather have them in the din slot! Would it be possible to put the stereo below the gauges in this arrangement?
The only thing I would say is that if you want them for critical viewing, e.g when on track, then you'll struggle to look down and see them. Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk
Yeah granted. This isnt for track tho, its just to jazz up the interior and ive always wanted a boost gauge!
