Hi all dreaded mot time. I have a decat, was fitted when I bought the car. Need to get mot done. If I get a second hand cat (let me know if you have one lieing around) and get it fitted will it be ok for mot. Decat has been mapped in. Will it still pass. Will it run ok? Thanks
Got miltek cat back system with decat (I believe I'm not 100% sure this was what I was told when I got it) My friendly tester has bottled it so back to square one. Will get my mech to fit it and then put through mot and then swap back. Ball ache!!!!!!
Or buy a standard system and just after the flexi weld a cat in so it's a doddle to change that's what I'm going to do :d
Buy a 200 cpi sportcat and weld it between the front pipe and get an extended lambda sensor wire hook it up at the end of the cat and your good to go
Ok so if I was to get a spots cat do you think I would need the map altered? Or could I just run it ok from there?

Right from what I know about my car is I have milltek decat on standard exhaust. Is there anything I can do? Will that link I put up fit to decat and standard exhaust. From what I read in the item description it won't. Another option ion is to go all out and get new exhaust!
Even tho I have a standard exhaust? So tempted to buy a whole system now! Be less headache thanks for bearing with my dumb questions
Aye even on the standard exhuast ull prob need to cut it bt if u have the money ud be aswrll getting a nice shiney system :d
I have the oem system that was taken off my 250 which includes original cat. If you want whole system u will need to sleeve. Pm me if interested.
Sorry just realised. You not got 250...unless cat can be transferred between the two ? I'm only about 1 hour away from you.
Took the hit and going for a ktec full system. Booked in for Friday! So much more than I thought I was going to spend but will put a brief smile on my face. Im with the car for the long run now! Spent 2.5k in a month on it!
so friday i took the trip to ktec for a new full system to be installed. lovely bunch of people in there. had all the work done by about midday so was quite quick. has made a massive difference tho. can defiantly feel the difference from having a decat to having a sports cat fitted and its not for the better. it feels less responsive and not as punchy. on the positive side of things the pops and bangs it makes on the over run are quite fun and its a lot quieter on the motorway compared to decat with standard system. at least now I'm legal and it will pass emisisons.
