Hey guys, Recently had a coolerworx short shifter installed by ktec, and as soon as I left the garage I realised that the gearstick wouldn't centre back to the middle channel from the left channel (gears 1 and 2), and I committed the cardinal sin of not turning around and raising this on the day (I was very tired!!). I then contacted them for a fix, and they believe they installed correctly but contacted coolerworx on my behalf. 3 weeks later and apparently coolerworx haven't responded so I was hoping one of you legends knew how to get it fixed - i haven't worked out how to upload a video to here but I've uploaded it to my google drive here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cSBlioU_qnIV49iCg4aQmIRSv4MXrOAz/view?usp=drivesdk Please let me know if the link doesn't work and I can directly send the vid to anyone interested. Cheers! James
Not a hard job, but you need time a patience to center the Coolerworx correctly, it have a lot of points to adjust. In your case, I think the problem is in the gear link, the right side one. I can't explain you how works the lever(I have problems with my words), but it need to be center exactly like the gearbox one. I hope you can solve the problem as soon as posible. I have the same shift for many years and no problems at all.
Thanks for the reply, glad to know it's not a difficult fix! Do you have a picture of what i need to adjust, might be the easiest way to explain
Sorry James, but I didn't find the time to go to the parking, busy day! But anyway, the part that I think you need to adjust is the ball joint/stick in the right side of the shifter, you have to adjust it in the way that there isn't any press or tension in the lever. Maybe I'm wrong! But seems like the problem comes from there. I'm sorry I'm not a good explainer
No problem mate no rush at all, thank you for taking the time to respond! Ah OK, I might give that a go this weekend - I'll let you know if I have any success
