Hi i have a RS 225 and reversed into a space and lost gears. It feels like one of the cables have come off from inside the gear lever. Can these cables be reattached from inside the car or does the whole mechanism need to be removed from underneath? Has this happened to anyone else?
It's more likely that the cables have come off on the gearbox side. They can be pressed back on once you have access.
If they’ve come off the lever end you’ll probably have to drop it down from underneath to access them.
