Hi, Car has developed a whine above 60 mph which I believe is coming from gearbox/LSD. All gears select fine at the moment and apart from the whine no other noticeable issues. It is a 275 Cup - S on 26,700 miles which I have owned for 7.5 years, not been hammered or tracked so pretty disappointing. Does anyone know of any reputable garages who could investigate/rebuild the box etc in the North Yorkshire/Teesside areas ? I am aware of AW Motorworks but obviously it is a long way from where I live. Any suggestions welcome Thanks , Andy.
Common issue unfortunately. My Cup-S with 65k miles needs a new or refurbished box for the second time! I'm going for a refurbished box with uprated bearings.
I'm currently ignoring the slight whine my Cup-s makes in second gear on the basis it not causing any issues. My current solution is to turn the stereo up a bit or boot it so the Akrapovic masks it!

Found a place that does refurbished boxes. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/22534750...486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Spoke to guy who confirmed they use NTN bearings. I'm in Newcastle and unfortunately can't seem to find anywhere local.
